For more than 40 years, Farmer Boys has graced Southern California with classic burgers, fries, al-day breakfast, specialty sandwiches and salads. Their ever-evolving menu continues to expand, with the brand recently bringing back two crowd favorites: the chicken Caesar salad and chicken Caesar wrap. And while these seasonal items are only available until October 31, they should be around long enough for those needing a quick and healthier alternative to bridge summer BBQ’s and the inevitable holiday indulgences following Halloween.

True to its name, Farmer Boys utilizes farm-fresh ingredients in every cooked-to-order meal they serve. The chicken Caesar salad and wrap are no exception, each boasting flame-grilled chicken breast, hickory-smoked bacon in bountiful quantity, sliced avocado, croutons, shaved parmesan and chopped Romaine lettuce. These seasonal additions add to an already robust healthier options list that includes the signature Farmers chopped salad, southwest chicken salad and BBQ chicken ranch salad. Every salad Farmer Boys serves can be ordered as a wrap.

The chicken Caesar salad and wrap also add onto a growing chicken menu. Last year, Farmer Boys added a fried chicken sandwich and spicy fried chicken sandwich that does justice to the hot chicken craze. Originally introduced as seasonal items, these sandwiches were added permanently due to overwhelming customer demand. The chicken Caesar salad and wrap seem to be following the same pater thus far, so the jury is still out on whether they’ll be here to stay.

And of course, Farmer Boys classics continue to impress. The always-popular Farmers burger, with two 1/4 lb beef patties, thick hickory-smoked bacon, smashed avocado, American cheese and house-made 1000-island dressing, has a depth of flavor rivaled by few burgers in its class with quality ingredients that make all the difference. Pair it with their always-crispy fries or colossal onion rings with perfect crunch. Don’t forget a hand-scooped milkshake, and perhaps to get a salad the next time you visit.
